Matching an Exact Phrase

You can match an exact phrase by enclosing the phrase in double quotes.

Example:
"star wars"


Excluding a Word

You can exclude a word by putting a minus sign in front of it.

Example:
"star wars" -jedi


Requiring a Word

You can require a word by putting a plus sign in front of it.

Example:
"star trek" +tribbles


Searching by UPC

You can search for a product by its UPC (Universal Product Code).

Example:
735858168434


Capitalization

The PriceComparison search engine is not case-sensitive.

Example:
Serendipity

 is the same as

sErEnDiPiTy



Word Variations

The PriceComparison search engine uses stemming technology to search all variations of the search words.

Example:
walking the dogs to the theatre

 will also search for

walk the dog to the theater

 and for

walked the dog theaters


You can disable word stemming by using double quotes around the words or phrases you want to match exactly.

Example:
"walking" the dogs to the theatre

 will not match "walk" or "walked."
